Haven't been doing much lately but I'm trying to get the teeces kit mounted in the dome. I don't think I've seen anyone else do it this way, but I have a feeling I know why... If this doesn't work, I'll probably go velcro or drill holes in the resin small enough for the screws to become "posts"

Last post... Doctor gave me good medicine for shoulder surgery pain.

I can't tell you how hard it is to solder when you have to literally prop your arm into position on the table and use only your wrist, maybe, MAYBE your elbow once in a while to feed solder to the joint!

But I still did a darn good job...

Apparently:

I literally wore the cheapo Radio Shack soldering iron tip to a dull nub. It was brand new when I started, but it's now about as sharp as a spoon.

One trick I did learn that might help other builders:
If, God forbid, you need to remove an LED after you're done with all its neighbors, a clean way to get it out is to get a piece of wire and tweezers... After you've removed as much solder as possible, loop the wire between the leads of the LED and twist together to form a loop. While pulling gently on the wire, heat the solder joints on the other side of the board  back and forth if needed and the LED will come out without disturbing the ones next to it.

I had to do this because I temporarily lost my little bag of 3mm yellows. I used leftover whites and blues and then kicked myself. Ah, well. Fixed now.

well, production came to a bit of a halt about two weeks ago... excuse=2 words... "subacromial decompression"
one word follows: pain.

But i did manage to get the dome mounted, and rotation is niiiice and smooth. I'll post a video sometime.

This pic is a tiny cheated.. The radar eye is sucky up close so it's mounted with tape. I got a new one to re-do.

I can barely type with left arm, but I can also barely solder.
 So i'm working on the teeces kit. I'm about 1/3 done... got a FLD all done and soldered, and both PSI's.
Can barely move my left arm, but it actually looks pretty darn good if I do say so...

I brought everything inside so FL spring/summer doesn't get everything all nasty. Smartly, I moved all this the day BEFORE the surgery. I can't even lift my ARM now.
