Frame Frame Frame!

Got the frame build yesterday and today I'll be working on getting the rocker mounted. It's sitting a little too low on my JAG V4 frame, with the bottom inside of the dome ring hitting the very top.

It's too soon to start spouting "Almost there...." but I've really been looking forward to putting the dome up there and watch it spin. Hoping to God I spaced it right.

Well, it's not "gorgeous" but I got the frame mostly done and panels attached... Short of electronics and radar eye mounting, I'm somewhat happy with out it came out.

Now the frame!

Ick, ack, ugh.

Good news first. I managed to get the pie pieces painted and they look great even to me.

The rest isn't so hot...
My inexperience with resin took a nasty turn when I messed up my radar eye.

I got my HP's in and painted them... Then RE-Painted them. The first Rustoleum metal just didn't look any good so I switched to a Duplicolor. I forgot to get a picture but it looks better now.

And worst of all, I did the deed. JB welding the domes together. I think I probably should have cut the inner one after all.
I never expected after all the fitting issues that I had, I'd end up with too much circumference on the outer, lower area!

First Prime

I'm finally starting the paint. At least for the dome. I got a BUNCH of resin parts. Still need the utility arms... Anyway, I got some Sonic Blue Pearl from O'Reilly's.
That'll be a big moment tomorrow. I'll probably start cutting the inner dome, too.
